CBS News reports today that the job offered to Shirley Sherrod by Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack would carry a new title for Sherrod: deputy director of the Office of Advocacy and Outreach.

Sherrod told CBS that she's still reading the official written job offer and has not made a decision about accepting it.

The Office of Advocacy and Outreach was established in December to help small farms, new farmers and "socially disadvantaged" farmers.

Before she was forced out over an edited video that purported to show her prejudice against white farmers, Sherrod was working as the Georgia director of rural development, a position to which she was appointed last year.

Once the full video, which showed that Sherrod was telling a story about overcoming prejudice, was released, Vilsack apologized to Sherrod and offered her a new position within the USDA.
