Received an email from a college buddy of mine who lives in Rockaway, Queens, just a moment ago. And it's not good. He says there has been little sign on FEMA or help from the City, there's little food left, there's no media there, most have no alternate means of housing, many have no way to get away from Rockaway -- a
nd it's simply dire. I know there are members of the City's media reading this right now -- so if there's any way you can help, please, please reach out to editors and assignment desks and get reporters and camera crews out there. The residents of Rockaway (and likely Breezy, too) appear to have been forgotten, but are no less or more important than those in Midtown Manhattan. Thank you, in advance, for helping.
