Deranged but celebrated right-wing media figures give "permission" for this kind of anti-social behavior
One of my Facebook friends, John Lynch (Paul Hill?), alerted me to Broward County Republicans going on a shooting spree-- so far just a practice one. Usually these kinds of armed nutcases use standard, non-partisan targets... or maybe a target that looks like Yasser Arafat or some kind of Arab guerilla. But one Republican politician thought it would be cute to make Democratic Congresswoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz a target.
One of the shooters at the Tuesday evening event was Robert Lowry, a Republican candidate hoping to unseat U.S. Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz, D-Weston. Lowry's target had the letters "DWS" next to the silhouette head.
Lowry said he didn't know who wrote Wasserman Schultz' initials on his target, but said he knew they were there before he started shooting. He initially described it as a "joke," but after answering several questions he said it "was a mistake" to use a target labeled "DWS."
Lowry is being supported by notorious America-hater Dick Morris. But at least none of this bunch went on to blow up a federal building the way another right-wing gun nut, Timothy McVeigh, did in Oklahoma City (1995). The lunatic fringe Republicans showed once again how much they loathe America and how much they are rooting for the country to fail, having a collective flip out when it was announced the President Obama had won the Nobel Peace Prize.
