Joe Sestak Wins in Pennsylvania; Rand Paul Wins Kentucky GOP Nomination

Joe Sestak has defeated Arlen Specter in Pennsylvania, leading 53 percent to 47 percent, with 65 percent of precincts reporting at 10:15 Eastern time according to Politico.

Earlier Rand Paul snatched up the Republican nomination, defeating the GOP-backed candidate Tray Greyson (AP reports):

Paul had 59 percent of the vote — with returns counted from 29 percent of the precincts — to 37 percent for Secretary of State Trey Grayson, who had been recruited to run by the state's dominant Republican, U.S. Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell.
