U.S. Rep. Mike McIntyre of North Carolina was one of three Democrats to vote Wednesday for the repeal of the federal health care law, The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act. The vote count came to 245-189, with all Republicans voting for repeal.
Democrats Dan Boren (Okla.) and Mike Ross (Ark.) joined McIntyre in voting for repeal of the legislation that was signed into law last year. All three Democrats previously voted against the legislation.
Rep. Gabrielle Giffords (D-Ariz.), still hospitalized following the shootings in Tucson on Jan. 8, was the only member who did not vote.
