Help us fight back against Glenn Beck

THE PROGRESS REPORT
September 15, 2009

glennbeckFor weeks, Glenn Beck and his attack machine at Fox News relentlessly smeared former CAPAF Senior Fellow and former White House green jobs adviser Van Jones. Van has resigned his position at the White House, but Beck retains his perch at Fox News. After calling the president a racist who has "a deep-seated hatred for white people," Beck has galvanized the far right.

Help us keep fighting Glenn Beck and the right-wing media by supporting us today.

Now he's attacking us. Why? Because CAPAF is exposing his lies, and he's afraid…

BECK: OK, can you tell me where John Podesta fits in to all of this?

GUEST: John Podesta is…the president of the Center for American Progress, which sends out the daily marching orders, the talking points for the left side of the blogs and the online activists. And those organizers out on the street, the ACORN and SEIU folks, they get their daily talking points from that Center for American Progress e-mail. [Glenn Beck show, 7/28/09]

Beck has mentioned the Center for American Progress or John Podesta at least 10 times on his show in the past few months. He's got his target set on us.

We will fight back.

It takes a lot of work to provide the continual rapid response, fact-checking, and truth-telling we do here at the CAP Action Fund. ThinkProgress, The Progress Report, and our full complement of policy and communications teams are fighting back every day, against every false charge, every personal attack, with facts and analysis.

But we can't do it without your help.

Help us keep fighting Glenn Beck and the right-wing media by supporting us today.
