Burlington, Vermont Restaurants Charge Foreigners Extra

Burlington, Vermont restaurants are charging a special gratuity if you're from a foreign country. A few local restaurants have a name for the surcharge, the "Queeb tax."

Burlington reportedly gets many Canadian tourists over the summer and apparently they have a bad reputation of not tipping well.

Barb Bardin, the owner of Splash at the Boathouse, told the indy paper Seven Days: "Because the servers really have such a hard time with it, I just leave it up to them, 'do what you feel is appropriate for you.'"
