While many other Pageant Queens will be out waiving to the crowd this Thanksgiving morning, Miss Cook County, Imani Josey along with Elmhurst teen, Katie Freitag, will be spending their Thanksgiving helping to feed over 500 homeless families at A Safe Haven Foundation in Chicago.
Miss Cook County is an official preliminary to Miss Illinois and Miss America. Elmhurst resident and York High School graduate, Katie Freitag helps produce the annual Miss Cook County and Miss Western Suburbs pageants. The winners will go on to compete at Miss Illinois. The Miss Illinois Scholarship Association is a duly-accredited state preliminary scholarship association in the Miss America Organization – the world's largest provider of scholarship and cash assistance to young women.
