"Five-year veteran of the Baltimore department, 27 year old Alec Eugene Taylor was charged with a felony charge of aggravated animal cruelty, and abuse or neglect of an animal. He surrendered himself to Montgomery County Police the same day.
County police report receiving a call from Taylor’s on Feb. 28 alleging that Taylor had killed Rocko, a Jack Russell terrier, two days earlier. They said the girlfriend Taylor told her that the dog had defecated on the carpet and he had killed it in retaliation. Police confirm the girlfriend received a text photo from Taylor that appears to be the dead dog.
Officers with the Animal Services Division recovered the body and said a necropsy showed the cause of death was blunt force trauma. Authorities said Taylor told Animal Services that he used a mop to force Rocko from behind a dryer and choked the dog with his hands."
